In Sápmi - there are unlimited possibilities for hiking. From the towering coastal forest in the east to the mountains and fjords in the west. From the South Sámi land of Idre to the Arctic coast of Northern Norway.
Some Sámi companies offer hiking with Sámi guides. This is a perfect way to learn more about nature, wildlife and Sámi culture, safe in the knowledge that your guide knows the area better than anyone else. A Sámi guide can take you off the beaten track and reveal to you the hidden places and signs that tell the story of his ancestor’s life in the area.
