Nulltjärnsgården guest house in Vålådalen, Handölsdalen Sámi Community awarded Sápmi Experience
Just half an hour’s drive from Åre Ski Resort you can enter the South Sámi culture and rest your soul.
We are proud to present Nulltjärnsgården in Handölsdalen Sámi Community as a member of the Sápmi Experience quality label. Reindeer herder Reidar Nordfjell and Kerstin Angantyr welcome you to their guest house from where they also offer Sámi trekking and Sámi food culture experiences. Nothing but sustainable and responsible tourism is an option to them.
Reidar and Kerstin complement each other well. Reidar has got the South Sámi way of life and history in heart, mind and hands. Kerstin has got a passion for Sámi food and long experience in the international travel trade. This guarantees unique experiences with a high level of service.
“It is positive that Nulltjärnsgården is situated here in Vålådalen. They help tell the Sámi ways to the many trekking and skiing visitors. Reidar is very committed to reindeer herding and very keen not to hurt the herding with their tourism”, says Chief Richard Åström of Handölsdalens Sámi Community.
