Sámi Women Boot Camp in Jokkmokk enrolled a formidable unit of creative women drilled by sergeants Pia Huova from the Swedish Sámi Association and industrial designer Helena Hansson Gothenburg University. VisitSápmi and a handful of experts were honored to attend during this week long exercise. Rarely so much professional creativity from many trades fuses to form future trends.

Nature/culture guide trekking into the soul of Sápmi. Artist humbly steering towards the world scene. Sámi Coffee Shop creativity and spirituality. Women reindeer herder embracing tradition forming the future. Sámi food culture, handicraft, cloth design, performance art and more in a big room absolutely littered with cut and paste paper products, designer cloth, creativity and laughs. I have signed a secrecy act so I cannot go any further into detail.
Fusion and spread your wings are words that came to mind. These women are forming the future Sápmi Brand. They don’t plan to stop there. First they’ll conquer Sápmi then they’ll be after the Big Apple. Sámi design and tradition is a world thing waiting to happen.
